"It is the name of a very small village very close to Thuir in the Aspres. In Sainte-Colombe, beyond the village, there is a small hill planted with pines and almond trees, a favorite place for a picnic. These almond trees are beginning to blossom to announce the arrival of spring with a multitude of pastel tones, specific to this particular period when everything is even softer in the light of the winter that has just ended.
This now emblematic painting was born in 1999 and is still in our collection, like a memory that never fades.”
