In June, when the days are longest, the sun lingers endlessly, and before setting, it takes on golden hues of luminous yet soft yellow, sometimes flamboyant pinks, and orange that sets the sky ablaze. This painting evokes June sunsets in an explosion of warm and tender colors, like fruit sorbets. They look good enough to eat!"
