"Ah! The colours of the sun in the countryside or by the sea. In June, when the days are longest, the sun never stops lazing around and before setting, it takes on golden hues of bright but soft yellow, sometimes flamboyant pinks and orange that sets the sky ablaze. This painting therefore evokes the sunsets in June in an explosion of warm and tender colours like fruit sorbets. We could eat them!"
